As a brewery, Little Creatures provides an abundance of beer tastings and a wide selection of their own Little Creatures ales. Personally, I opted for the uniquely named Dog Day beer, which proved to be a refreshing and delightful choice. The atmosphere was lively and unexpected, with two men spontaneously breakdancing in front of us, creating an exciting and energetic ambiance that sets this experience apart from what one might expect in Geelong.
4pm – taking to the skies
With stomachs full and spirits high, we made our way back to the waterfront for the next adventure - a helicopter ride. Yes, you read that right. Geelong offers the opportunity to soar through the skies in a helicopter. It's an exhilarating and unique way to experience the city and its surroundings.
Experience the breathtaking beauty of Geelong from a whole new perspective with Geelong Helicopters. Take a thrilling flight starting from their convenient landing pad near the pier and explore the stunning region below. Choose from a variety of flight options, ranging from a quick 5-minute adventure for just $50 to an immersive 30-minute journey that takes you along the surf coast to Torquay and back, priced at $280.
During our 12-minute flight, we were able to soar above the sailboats, take in the panoramic views of the city's southern region, and circle back to the glistening bay in a mesmerizing loop. The knowledgeable pilot added to the experience by providing interesting commentary and pointing out significant landmarks along the way.
