Ivonne Ortiz, Alianza's Training & Technical Assistance Coordinator, will be conducting a workshop in the Culture and Domestic Violence Section entitled Si Podemos-Latinas Surviving and Thriving: Economic Independence and the Latina Survivor. She will be joined by DV survivor and activist Dawn Maestas, who is part of Alianza's Economic Independence for Survivors of Domestic Violence project. Jerry Tello, Alianza Training & Technical Assistance Consultant, is a featured speaker in the plenary session entitled The Impact and Effects of Violence on Children.
