Independent Living/After Care Worker
A Non-Residential (Non- Clinical) Program seeks F/T Independent Living/After Care Worker responsible for the development and support of the independent living skills of VIP participants. This position requires the individual to execute their role in both the Manhattan & Queens programs, which are located in those respective boroughs. The Independent Living /After Care Worker will work collaboratively with VIP staff to secure access to resources and benefits which will increase opportunities for battered women and their children to successfully transition to productive, stable and violence free lives.

Children & Youth Counselor
A Non-Residential (Non- Clinical) Program seeks a F/T Children and Youth Counselors at our Queens site who will be responsible for providing comprehensive individual and group counseling on crisis intervention, breaking the cycle of violence and promote positive self-esteem/motivation to children and youth, participating in VIP's Non-Residential Program who has been exposed to domestic violence in the home.

Hotline Specialist
The Violence Intervention Program, Inc. (VIP) is a not- for-profit community based domestic violence organization, seeking a full time Hotline Specialist.
The New York State Spanish Domestic Violence & Sexual Violence Hotline is a program operated by the Violence Intervention Program, Inc. The hotline provides 24 hours/7 days assistance with crisis intervention, crisis counseling, support counseling via telephone, safety planning, identifies and secures shelter space, translations, advocacy, information and referrals for legal options and battered immigrant women rights and referrals to programs and services throughout New York State. The hotline also distributes educational Spanish language materials related to domestic violence and sexual violence to providers throughout the New York State Region.

The Violence Intervention Program, Inc. (VIP) is a not- for-profit community based domestic violence organization founded in 1984. VIP's mission promotes nonviolent partner relationships, familias, and communities through awareness, advocacy and culturally competent services that respects survivors' right to self-determination. Services offered at VIP include: a 24 hour domestic violence hotline, individual and support group counseling, advocacy, accompaniment, temporary emergency housing in a safe dwelling, and community education and outreach. VIP provides services primarily to Latinas and their children; however, serves all women seeking help from the trauma of domestic violence. VIP provides services in an environment that is supportive, non-judgmental, and respectful of each woman's right to self-determination.
